The demo pages are back, but some of the applications are out of date and don’t work with the increased security of the PHP and mod_sec we’re using. I’ll be contacting the authors to get updated versions.

Our parent company, Geek Niche.com, is in the process of a migration and some major upgrades. In order to test things out, I offered geekniche.org as a test case. Well… some stuff got borked. All the databases for the demos have vanished. Ooops.
I’ll be working on reinstalling and rebuilding the stuff that’s been borked. WordPress is all here, and all the files for download are still here.
I’m sorry if this is a big annoyance. Rest assured that I’m not exactly jumping for joy, either. But… since I’m the one that broke the site, and I knew of the risk going in, I guess I can’t really complain. Ah, hell.. Of course I can complain! And I can blame it on little Seth Parker, too. I’m not quite sure how it’s his fault, but give me a little while and I’ll think of something. ![]()
The shiney new site is now up and running.
With just a few exceptions, all the themes, plugins, and applications have their own nice, new pages (in the Downloads section), complete with information, screen caps, and links to both the download files and demo pages. The old site will be taken down in the next couple days, so any old links you may have will be gone.
With the new format (and the WordPress backbone) updates should be much easier. We’ve added a new developer, and one of the existing ones is done with college and the wedding, so we just might be seeing more frequent updates.
There are two new plugins available (though one isn’t quite ready yet), and another application just finishing alpha-testing, so things are looking up already.
Take a look around, test out the applications, and enjoy.
