Steno is a web-accessible, virtual notebook. The simple page allows you to add, edit, and delete text files. Unlike other note-taking applications, Steno is not just a virtual post-it note. The large entry field and capacity of over 4 trillion characters (yes, that’s a T) allows you to write entire novels if you want.

Steno is password-protected, and will be adding extended features in the future. If you need access to your notes from anywhere, this is the program for you. No fancy formatting, no complex controls; just type and go. The password for the demo page is “test”.

Themes are customizable through a simple CSS file.

The zip file includes the following files:

• error.php - error handling file
• header.php - imports the CSS file
• index.php - main file
• prefs.inc.php - holds all the preferences
• steno.css - stripped down CSS file
• steno.sql - sets up the Steno SQL tables
